TAOM.ai – CERTIFICATION

What it’s all about

TAOM certification demonstrates that an individual has mastered the TAOM method –
not just how to use the editor. Thinking in terms of processes, developing them using agents, and
running an environment efficiently: these are the three stages, and they build on one another.

The three stages

**Modeller** – Process methodology and editor. Modelling BPMN correctly, adopting existing models
and reusing results. The foundation for everything that follows.

**Agents** – Understanding and deploying AI agents. Which agent for what purpose, which models,
how implementation and standards interact, and where the limitations lie.

**Infrastructure** – Set-up and operation. Client segregation, integration into existing
systems, updates, licence management.

Each stage can be completed individually. Those who demonstrate proficiency in all three meet the technical
requirements for operating their own TAOM environment and for admission as a
licensed TAOM partner.

Procedure

1. Enquiry – You tell us which levels are suitable for how many people and
what prior knowledge they have. We usually get back to you within two
working days.

2. Assessment – In a brief discussion, we clarify the current situation: who is already modelling,
who is working with agents, and who is operating systems. This determines what preparation
is appropriate and whether training should be undertaken beforehand.

3. Preparation – You will receive the course materials and access to the practice environment.
You are expected to prepare independently; the exam is not a repeat of the
training day.

4. Exam – A technical discussion with a practical component. You will work on a task using
a real model and justify your decisions. Each level takes around two hours.

5. Result – You will receive feedback on the same day. If you pass,
we will issue the certificate; it will be available as a PDF in your customer account and can be
verified publicly via the certificate number.

6. Retake – Failing is not the end of the road. A retake is possible by
arrangement; we will explain exactly what went wrong.

Preparation

Basic knowledge of BPMN and practical experience with Process Studio are required.
If you do not yet have both, it makes sense to start with the appropriate training course – Modeller,
Agent or Infrastructure training. The training course is not a prerequisite for
registration, but it is required to pass the exam.

Allow for around half a day’s preparation per level if you work with the
tool on a daily basis – more if it has been some time since you last used it.

Delivery: remote or on-site

Remote delivery is the norm. Video call with screen sharing; the exam takes place in your
or our environment. Appointments are also possible outside core hours.

We offer on-site training for groups of a reasonable size, for example when an entire team
is being certified together or the exam is to take place within your own system environment.
For on-site assignments, travel, accommodation and expenses are charged additionally;
we set out the scope and conditions in advance in our quotation.

Validity

Certificates are issued for a limited period. The expiry date is stated on the document and
is displayed during the examination. A refresher course is required upon expiry – the scope of
functions and methodology continue to evolve, and a certificate should reflect the current
state of the art.

Languages

Examinations are held in German and English, and certificates are available in German, English, French or Spanish.
